Fire in Germany

Intentional community, based around the presence of God, leading to revival and reformation. Imagine communities raised up all over the world; closed countries, slums, refugee camps, orphanages, urban centers, university campuses and remote villages; all walking in a dynamic marriage of prayer and missions, the monastic and the missional, intimacy and advocacy. Such communities and values have shaped history, and we are in a day where this model of transformation is being released once again! Fire and Fragrance DTS is designed to raise up...

Ps 131:1-2

Posted by on Nov 3, 2011 in Spiritual Insight | 0 comments

O LORD, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. — I don’t worry myself with the big stuff. I just rest. Like a child with its’ mother, not concerned with any other, underneath the cover- I rest. Things too large, too great, too marvelous- I don’t bother. I’ll let God be God and I will rest. Rest is living...

Week in Maui

Posted by on May 19, 2011 in Updates | 0 comments

For the last week I have been in Maui, Hawaii. My friend Sam Chang invited me to co-lead with him for a week at YWAM-Maui. We spoke on hearing the voice of God and also led worship a few times. We have absolutely loved the community here and have felt like part of the family. We started off the week talking about how communication comes from relationship and we have to realize that God is after friendship first. We move from a place of knowing God loves us, instead of hoping He will. On Tuesday, we described the clutter in our lives that...

First and Greatest

If you wanted to pursue golf and had the opportunity to ask Tiger Woods what the most important thing was, would you pay attention? Say you wanted to learn business strategy and could ask Steve Jobs of Apple Inc. what his secret is, would you heed his advice? A man asks Jesus, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” If you heard someone asking God, what is the most important thing to do, pay attention! God could have asked us to be at peace with all men. He could have said to serve the church more. Of of all of the things that...

Tsunami Survival #2

Posted by on Mar 12, 2011 in Updates | 0 comments

Yesterday morning a tsunami hit us here in Kona. Many businesses near the oceanfront were destroyed. It is much worse than I thought it would be. This is a very popular street we always use. Although there is a lot of discomfort with people out of hotels and store damage we are more concerned with what God is doing in Japan. Please pray for revival in Japan. We have friends here that are from Japan as well as some of our family in Tokyo now. Gladly we have not heard of anyone we know personally suffer from this. The other night we prayed...
